The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has approved a massive budget of ₹5,148 crore for the financial year 2026–27. The decision was taken at the 187th LDA Board Meeting held at Parijat Sabhagar, chaired by Divisional Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant. The budget will accelerate residential schemes, infrastructure development, and beautification projects across Lucknow.

🏗️ ₹1,600 Crore for IT City, Wellness City & More

LDA Vice-Chairman Prathamesh Kumar confirmed that ₹1,600 crore has been approved for land purchase and acquisition for four major schemes — IT City, Wellness City, Naimish Nagar, and Varun Vihar. This allocation will help launch new residential schemes on the ground and complete pending projects, opening fresh opportunities for city expansion and private investment.

Additionally, ₹1,298 crore has been approved for development and maintenance of existing residential schemes, and ₹200 crore for infrastructure facilities across the city.

🏠 Affordable Housing — Sharda Nagar Extension

Acting on CM Yogi Adityanath directive to provide budget-friendly housing for common citizens (given during the inauguration of the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Housing Scheme at Dalibagh), LDA will launch an Affordable Housing Scheme in Sharda Nagar Extension at a cost of approximately ₹200 crore.

🌳 Green Corridor Gets ₹400 Crore Push

LDA ambitious Green Corridor project will receive ₹400 crore to accelerate development. Additionally, ₹60 crore has been approved for developing new parks and maintaining existing ones across the city. Budget under PM Awas Yojana 2.0 has also been allocated for construction of new housing units.

🔒 Good News: Gomti Nagar Flat Prices Frozen for 1 Year

In a major relief for homebuyers, LDA has frozen the prices of flats in Parijat Apartments and Panchsheel Apartments in Gomti Nagar for one full year. No price hike will be made in the new financial year — buyers can purchase at existing rates. A new community centre will also be developed near Saraswati Apartments in Gomti Nagar Extension.

⚠️ Action Required: Map Approval Fee Hike from April 1, 2026

The LDA board has approved a revision in building plan (map) approval fees via the OBPAS system effective from the new financial year. If you have a pending map submission, file it before March 31, 2026 to lock in the current, lower approval charges.
